Biography
A native of Rome, Italy, Patricia began early to follow her two passions: theatre and horses. A graduate of the Yale School of Drama in acting, she spent 20 years working as a professional actress and director in NYC, while also studying in Spain with noted dressage master Luis Ramos Paul. Currently based in Clinton, Ct., she trains, competes and performs dressage exhibitions with her Andalusian and Lusitano horses. Patricia is certified at the highest level with the American Riding Instructors’ Association, and the British Horse Society. She has also performed for many years with the Dancing With Horses company. The company creates dances for modern dancers and horses and is the brainchild of NYC choreographer Joanna Mendl Shaw. Patricia is also a judge and instructor for the Baroque Equestrian Games, created by Tina Veder and Bruno Gonzalez. As a dancer, as well as equestrian, she has a keen interest in bodywork for riders. Patricia and her horses are featured in the DVD “Riding With Chi”, (www.mouseholefarm.com) which explores energy work, tai chi, and riding. Patricia competes her Lusitano stallion, Tenente LS, at Prix St. Georges, and works with long-time coaches: S judge Lisa Schmidt, and Rodrigo Matos of Portugal.
