Developing Rider and Horse Stability

When it comes to increasing the stability of both horse and rider, it is critical to look at their unique physical and psychological needs.
Each rider has a unique seat that reflects their life experiences, body structure, and degree of neuromuscular awareness. It is Patricia's job to analyse this seat in detail and then visually choreograph movement with shaping and softening her cues to bring out the riders optimal athleticism.
Visual cues also help overcome fear, lack of confidence and sometimes habitual patterns of unhealthy movement.
Strictness and clarity of instruction, combined with a strong dressage whip and(or) light taps will enable the horse to respond quickly & correctly to requests for movement and use my cues, in the correct direction and of the correct duration.
Lastly, she practise a patient, slow and steady approach for the horse and rider(s) to develop the correct muscle tone, suppleness and respect for the aids (especially impulsion).
Dressage is an extremely precise visual art that develops mind-body connection and leadership between horse and rider. Once mastered, it has a great ability to improve both mind and muscle tone in rider, fostered by the building of trust, connection and partnership. Once achieved, it is a joyous ride that can last a lifetime.
